It’s time to get excited. Our latest flow tests at our Yorke Peninsula tenement are giving us increasing encouragement that we are progressing towards a commercial Helium play.

The initial results from the Ramsay 2 well, released this week, essentially replicated what we achieved at Ramsay 1 – we flowed, separated and captured Helium. 

Despite non-optimal well designs, we have recorded sustained air-corrected purity levels of 19 and 20% across the two wells.

We see these results as proving we have a continuous and laterally extensive 180m gross Helium reservoir.

The results move us a good way towards Contingent Resource certification and that will further de-risk this proposition significantly.

Our planning for a Helium pilot project is gathering steam and we have had multiple international third party technology and distribution conversations.

We have now started moving the testing equipment to Ramsay 3 for the final round of tests. Ramsay 3 is about a 2.5km step-out away, and we will test for Helium and Natural Hydrogen (for the first time in this campaign).

This is the best designed set-up we will have used so far, the lessons from Ramsay 1 and 2 giving us a great opportunity to maximise the last test results.

We hope we’re in a position by the second week in September to start revealing initial results.

Based on what we are seeing so far, we believe an optimistic view would be a commercial pilot plant for Helium being in operation by the end of next year.
